Effective June 1, 2007, the name "Geschichteclub VOEST" was changed to "Geschichteclub Stahl". The Logo was adjusted accordingly.
The VAI-Chronicle is now available also on a CD. 466 illustrated pages ( WORD and PDF) describe the historical development of the VOEST-Industrieanlagenbau.

20 Years Geschichteclub
On January 15, 2007 the Geschichteclub celebrated the 20th anniversary. On the occasion of this event the exhibition "Construction of the Steel Industry in Linz from 1938" was opened.

The Upper Austrian Museums Co-Operative honored the Geschichteclub with the attribute "Museum of the Month Dezember 2007".

European Culture City Urban Area of the Month
The European Culture City Urban Area Project "St. Peter is History. A Neighborhood Revival" was submitted by the project team "Geschichteclub Stahl- SPÖ Bindermichl, Keferfeld, Oed, Spallerhof- Fishermen's Friend-D'Quetschnspüla and Retirement Clubs" to Linz 09.
The project was approved and will be realized in June 2009.
